The Black Ash was founded in 1996 by Margret and Jonathan Ash. The ambitious farmer couple from Texas and knew early on what it meant to not only raise cattle in a sustainable and animal-friendly way but also to appreciate the taste of an excellent meat dish. Together they moved to California and changed the restaurant culture with the opening of black ash for good. Since then, guests have been experiencing what it means to eat high quality meat dishes in a rustic and modern atmosphere.
